Meet Shellie Layne

Shellie Layne is the founder of Life Tools Coaching & Consulting, where she helps high-capacity women rebuild clarity, confidence, and direction during seasons of life transition. With more than a decade of experience coaching and mentoring women, Shellie brings both professional expertise and lived wisdom to the work of helping women navigate change and move forward with strength and intention.

Throughout her career, Shellie has been recognized for her leadership and impact in the lives of women. She is also the founder of Women Under Construction Network, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting women as they rebuild their lives and strengthen their personal foundations. Through this work, she has mentored and walked alongside countless women facing personal loss, identity shifts, and major life transitions.

Shellie’s work has received national recognition, including acknowledgment by AARP for her contributions and service in supporting women as they rebuild and strengthen their lives. In addition to her coaching and leadership work, she has received awards for her community impact and has served as a syndicated radio personality and newspaper columnist. She has also been featured on numerous television broadcasts and podcasts, using her voice to encourage and empower women across the country.

Shellie holds a Master of Education (M.Ed.) and combines practical insight, thoughtful reflection, and faith-centered encouragement in her coaching approach. She believes that strong women do not need to start over—they simply need the right tools to rebuild. Through Life Tools Coaching & Consulting, she provides a confidential and supportive space where women can gain clarity, strengthen their foundations, and move forward with renewed purpose.

In addition to her coaching work, Shellie is an author and keynote speaker who is passionate about equipping women with practical and spiritual tools for navigating life’s transitions. Her new book, DIY Girl!, explores the journey of rebuilding life with faith, resilience, and determination.
